Daycare Halloween Festival 2011

Yay! Friday Night was the Halloween Festival at Sydney and Annabelle's daycare. Time to bust out the costumes!

Being Tinkerbell was perfect for Sydney this year. Who would've guessed that way back almost a year ago when Nana's neighbor handed down the costume to us. Sadly, the green light up Tink shoes with the white fluffy pompom on the top were about 2 sizes too big for Buggy's peanut feet (so she just wore her favorite blinky Sketchers that she wears to school every.single.day.)

All dressed up and ready to party:

Annabelle was instantly greeted by her teacher, Miss Jenn:

Miss Jenn's costume with the hood up. This is a toddler size costume that she cut and paired with black shorts and orange tights. The toddler legs of the costume were worn as legs warmers. Genious!

Tinkerbell:

her little wand/stick thing is turned on and lit up here, but you can barely tell because of her hands covering it:

Sydney runs to give a hug to her music teacher, Miss Suzanne (she LOVES Miss Suzanne)

Bug smiled on the first pic, but had her wand blocking her face. Take 2:

a nice picture of daddy and his little bunny:

Game Time! As soon as we arrived, Bug (as always) was just itchin' to get in the jumper. They had it set up at school all day and needless to say, she'd already been in it a good part of the day. I told her she had to visit every room and play each game/activity before hitting up the bouncer.

Room #4 was skee-ball. Same blow up game as last year. And also same as last year, Bug walked right up it to put the balls in the holes:

awwwwww... a nice comfy spot to sit:

Next was on to Room 5 where Miss Summer had the kids dig spiders out of a pot of spaghetti (I think she was telling the bigger kids it was brains). Buggy had no interest in getting her hands in the pot - but she took a green and orange spider that were handed to her:

Next, onto Room 3 where Miss Ana was helping the little ones in the floating duck game. You had to find 2 ducks with matching numbers. Sydney decided instead to stick her blow-pop (won at previous "game") into the water and swirl it all around with the wrapper still on. Yeah, D and I threw that out - gross.

And finally in Room 2 was the bean-bag toss to knock over cans. Bug sucked at this. Girl has no aim. Ha ha ha . She literally threw sideways.

And don't forget, Annabelle was in attendance too. Along with her carrot rattle that was a complete drooly-slobbery mess by the end of the evening:

here we have just a cute picture of Sydney:

This picture warms my heart. Who wouldn't love a guy with that smile while holding an adorable pink bunny and sparkly Tinkerbell wings:

Time for the Jumper! I only put in this pic of Buggy's backside to prove what an ingenious mom I am. I realized just before getting her dressed that her costume didn't have bloomers. Ack! No one wants to see her pink Pull-ups! So I at first resigned myself that a pair of white shorts would be fine - and who cares if they show a little under the dress. Then it hit me. Annabelle has a pair of bright green bubble shorts sized 6 months. They worked perfectly as bloomers for Bug!

So here is my 27 month old child wearing 6 month size shorts! Awesome:

I could get very few pics of Bug in the Jumper. Taking pics through the mesh (other than the pic above) was pretty darn impossible because of the sheer number of older kids that were slamming into the sides. I didn't need one of them knocking full force into me or my camera.

Bug doing one of her favorite things - bouncing bouncing bouncing:

Past bedtime and all tuckered out. Not much exuberance left in these two. Nice pic of the lights lighting up in Bug's wings, though:

Bug gets a hug Bye-Bye from one of the twins (not sure if it is Shelby or Olivia) dressed as a cheeseburger

Look what she's finally wearing!

remember in early August when I posted : http://www.blogger.com/rockabyebuggy.blogspot.com/2011/08/i-just-do-not-understand.html

Well it took almost 3 full months, but she suddenly loves her Little Einsteins jammies (even if she isn't so fond of their show anymore). Toddlers are weird.

Rocktoberfest 2011

Welcome to my Annual Rocktoberfest blog and picture fest! Lots and Lots of pictures, it was hard to weed it down to this lot.

Here is my little blue eyed girl. Once again, I shot in manual all day long trying to continue to learn. When I took this my ISO was off and I thought it came out too light... but once I uploaded it onto the computer, I actually liked it better than the one where I adjusted the ISO down. Her eyes really stand out in this version.
From the moment we got there Bug was itchin' to get in the Bounce House (she calls it "jumper"). Once I let her in she had soooooooooo much fun. This is so totally her thing right now. She loves it. An older (pre-teen-ish) girl took Bug and Aviana under her wing in the jumper. She led them in a repeated game of "jump, jump, jump, FALL DOWN!" Here is Buggy on the "fall down" part:

(disclaimer: I was shooting these pics through the rope/mesh wall on the outside. I did NOT get in the jumper)

Mid-Bounce. Hair and dress are flying:

A sweet moment. A hug from Aviana:

Next stop - Annual pictures in the go-karts and race cars:

Annabelle's 1st annual pic:

Dude Mom, I'm tryin' to drive here!

Then it was time for some good ol' german-ish grub. Brats and potatoes and saurkraut! Daddy stood in the long dinner buffet line. Sydney waiting somewhat patiently. She was thirsty and tired:

Hanging out with Nana. This picture makes me laugh:

ahhhhhhhhhhhh finally! Water! Thank you Daddy!

Annabelle stands:

There was a very cute, very small bench in the backyard. Parked in front of a lovely pink plant. I thought it would be perfect to get a picture of Bug and Belle together on. They weren't having it. This is the only shot I got:

More Belle standing. Solo this time:

yes, she does have a fat-roll on her knee!

Presentation of Annabelle's mug from her Grammy and Papa:

Last year, the balloon ladybug that Pretzel made for Sydney made her cry. This year was more of a success:

this year she asked for a "happy face". Pretzel had happy face printed balloons - cheater! LOL. He attached one to this green stem-type thing:

Around the time that I started looking for Annabelle (yes, looking - she got passed around a lot) thinking that it had been almost 4 hours since she last ate and she should be starving - this is where I found her. Being cuddled as she slept by cousin (aunt?) Susie. (she's Papa's cousin - not sure what that make the relation between her and the kiddos) My little Annabelle is so stinkin' precious:

We finally fed her food and bottle once she woke up. She did great at the party. No fussing. Tolerated being adored. What a trooper!

Then I locked the camera away in my car - one less thing to look after. 360 something days until Rock-fest 2012!

Lazy Sunday

Just playing with Sydney and Annabelle in the nursery.

Happy Annabelle: Adorable Buggy:
and yes people, those curls are ala naturelle.

singing Twinkle Twinkle - note the lovely bruise on her chin from a tantrum the previous day:
silly girl

currently our calm baby:

Then Buggy started screeching:

at the top of her lungs:

Time for Sister Hugs:

C'mere Annabelle:

Annabelle getting man-handled (or Sydney handled)

and it's about time for me to put down the camera and intervene

Annabelle takes a break to chew on a Little Mermaid bath-book:

Sydney opts to read her book upside-down

Super close up of A-Belle

just relaxing:

laying on her favorite blankets on the floor:

and her Tinkerbell pillow (excuse the stained blood splatter, gross I know, from her tooth incident - Bug just says Tinkerbell is a "mess", but she still loves her)

awwwwww

Then Bug got the bright idea to try to put her shoe on Annabelle's foot. This required some twisting of Annabelle's leg - which Belle wasn't too fond of.

At least the shoe was purple and matched Annabelle's onesie

(and if you look super closely, you can see A's 2 new bottom teeth in this picture)

Annabelle is SO close to crawling (the fact that she's not isn't stopping her from getting around). Here Buggy is encouraging Belle to crawl:

Playing peek-a-boo with a favorite blankie. And creating a major giggle fit from Annabelle

Here's a picture of said giggle-fit. She'd stop nomming on the book long enough to laugh:

this is Belle's "really? WHY?" expression when Sydney busted out in an ear-splitting screech:
