EASTER 2012

I absolutely loved the dresses I had for the girls to wear on Easter this year. Loved Loved Loved them. We had perfect warm weather this year too. Perfect for bright sunny sundresses!

Here is Miss Sydney jumping around (generally not holding still for a picture)

Sad, that a backview is the best pic I get of Sydney in her Easter dress.

Annabelle in her dress. Annabelle isn't too sure about walking on the grass.

Pic of the corner of our new backyard. The entire back wall is lined with about 6 or 7 (never actually made a mental note as to how many there are) various fruit trees. A few are peaches, the rest are resurrecting from the dead (with TLC and lots of watering), and I can't wait to see what these trees turn out to be. I also love all the flowers from the neighbors yard that creep over the top of our fence. Beautiful! There are a zillion lizards in those bushes that love to run around on our walls in the warm sun. Sydney chases them.

close up of a tree coming back to life. this thing was just sticks when we moved in.

Sydney "mows" the patio. Annabelle supervises.

Best pic I have of the 2 of them together, but it bugs me that Sydney's slipper-socks are on in this pic (I had her take off her white shoes because they're cloth-ish and I didn't want her dirtying them up)

so, I had Syd take off her slipper socks, but then didn't get any great pics after. Oh well.

Annabelle's sitting nicely. Sydney's losing patience.

After running around in the yard for a bit, we went inside, changed into playclothes, and found the baskets the Easter Bunny left! As Sydney said: "Yay Easter Bunny!!"

We had chatted about the Easter Bunny in the days leading up, and Sydney knew that EB brought treats. I asked her what kind of treats. Her answer: Fruit Snacks and Bacon.

In reality she got a blinking Tinkerbell drinking cup, that she LOVES! Along with Fruit Snacks, Goldfish, books, bunny socks, and other general fun stuff. No candy. Not after the Cadbury Egg incident of 2011.

hugging her cup

I love that the window in their bedroom come down low enough that she can see out. The window in the playroom is too high for her to look out of it.

After taking down Sydney's church ponytail, her hair was a hot mess. LOL.

Sydney ate the fruit snack. Annabelle plays with the wrapper. A somewhat fair trade off that seems to make both of them happy.

She put her fruit snack in her new cup.

Later, all the familia came over for Easter dinner. Sydney hid eggs for her 2 cousins, Denise and Delayne, to find. This is her presiding over the egg hunt. (with her shoes on the wrong feet)

Group pic with Delayne, Uncle Darryl, and Denise. Cute.
