Just checking in here. I've been sick for 12 days now - which caused 2 doctor office visits for me, and one 6 hour overnight trip to the ER. Finally think I'm getting past this. Since it started out the first week as a really bad flu (and I ironically got both flu shots this year), I've been a bit hyper about whether or not Buggy will catch it.
Her pink eye had returned so she was back in the doc on Friday the 12th (which was the day before the flu broke out in me). The doc checked her ears from her previous ear infection and said all looked good. We already had her appt to get them checked on the books for Thurs, 02/18. Dr. said we no longer needed it, but to maybe hang onto the appt just in case anything came up between now and then. Well, since I got the flu so bad starting the next day - we went ahead and took her to the appt on the 18th just to make sure she wasn't catching what I had. At that point all was well on her - including her ears still.
Well, yesterday (the 23rd) she had a phlegm-y sounding cough so I took her in yet again. Guess what - ear infection again. Seriously only 5 days since they last looked at her ears. Poor baby.
Between her and I, I'm not sure if we'll ever both be healthy again. Also, between both of us in January and February, I went from having almost 3 weeks PTO at work down to currently only having 2 days left. And none of that was used for anything fun. All for illnesses.
This getting-sick stuff is all new to me. I used to be sooooooo healthy.
And in other news..... I bought Buggy some hot pink sunglasses. Not sure she likes them - but she looks so cute in them.
