Halloween Festival

Daycare had a "Fall Festival" the Friday evening before Halloween. This was when we could bring our kiddos in their costumes for food, fun, and games. And a little "trick-or-treating". I'm really glad we decided to take the Bug. We dressed her in her pegasus costume, because the ladybug costume was way too warm.

When we arrived we were handed a Trick-or-Treat bag with her name on it for collecting goodies at each of the rooms. Each room had a different game for the kids to play before collecting their (or in our case, Mommy and Daddy's) candy.

First stop, the Toddler room. Here they had their activity table filled with about a 1/2 inch of water and many rubber ducks. The kids had to pick a duck and see what number was on the bottom of it, then try to find a duck with the matching number. Bug's first duck was a 2. Then she picked a 3, then she picked another 3 - so we called it good at that.

(Daddy is thrilled to be out on a Friday night)
next stop, one of the bigger kid rooms - I think this was like a preschool age room. Here they had a little blow up Skee-Ball type thing. Kids were to toss the balls into the 3 holes at the top of it. Buggy grabbed her first ball and proceeded to walk on the blowy-up part to place her ball in the hole.

here is daddy giving her some help:

On to the 2 year old room: Here they had cans stacked that you had to toss a bean bag to try and knock the cans over. Bug just decided to walk over to the cans....

and knock them over herself. Then she proceeded to grab 2 cans and try to run away with them.

She was excited to run around the courtyard area. All my pictures are of her backside since she was constantly running away.

here she found 2 leafs she wanted to carry around for a bit:

and finally, the last game out in the courtyard area: Toss bean bags through the Pumpkins cut-out face. Bug didn't do well here. She just wanted to take the bean bag and run away.

her and daddy inside the office before leaving for the night. She was starting to get cranky. It was past her bedtime. We got in the car and I mention to D that it seems so late. We look at the clock. It's only 7:15pm. :::sigh:::
