Monday night at 10:30, I decide to go downstairs and get her myself so we can get the night feeding started. (sooner started, sooner to bed were my thoughts). So I carry her up, set her in the crib - and this is usually when she gets really awake - but I notice that she just rolled herself on her side and went right back to sleep. I also realize that since it was so warm, and she spits up so much that I never redressed her after taking off a soaked onesie earlier in the day. So there she is, fast asleep in only a diaper.
Now my thoughts were, I wonder if she'll sleep for a while? or if I try to get her dressed would she wake right up? She looked so cute and peaceful that I really was not looking forward to dressing her for the night and waking her up. But I couldn't leave her in just a diaper for the night in fear of her getting too chilly.
(in this pic I threw her wrappy over her legs as a pseudo blankie)
Amazingly, we got her in a onesie (although we put her in a 3-6 month size so it'd be roomy and easy to get over her head and her arms without waking her too much), and Dana got her wrapped in her snuggly thing and she stayed asleep. She slept through until 4 am. Starting from when she fell asleep in the carseat (Dana's foolproof method) downstairs at 9pm, that means she slept 7 hours! The doc at the 2 month appt had said she would like to see her sleeping between 6 - 9 hours a night. Looks like we are maybe finally getting there!
Here she is all bright eyed and bushy tailed (who started that saying??) this morning. In her 3-6 month size roomy "garden friend" snail onesie. (she didn't sleep with the bib, I added that this morning). This outfit is from Aunt DeeDee and was given to us forever ago! :)
and for the record, I went to bed at 11:15, but didn't fall asleep until closer to midnight. I actually got 4 straight hours of sleep. That's pretty much a record since July 12th.
