Take some time to smell the roses...

Two days ago I came across this rose along the sidewalk that leads to our condo. I just had to go and get my camera and get a shot of it.


Then this morning we had some rain/drizzle. When my mom arrived around 10:30am, I went out to greet her and passed the same rose. A little more opened up and with raindrops sitting on its petals. Once again, I had to get the camera...

For some reason I love this shot with the Bug in the out-of-focus background and only the rose in focus with those drops on the petals. So pretty.

(my mom did a good job of holding the Bug up, while keeping her own fingers out of the shot)
