Roseola

The Bug has it. I had to really under expose this pic to be able to see the rash. The bright flourescent kitchen light + camera flash really made it hard to see on the pic otherwise.

Daycare noticed the rash at around 4pm on Thursday. Mentioned to D when he picked her up. By the time I got home, I took one look and called Kaiser. I was transferred to an advice nurse who asked me many many many questions. Her recommendation was to get her in to be seen that night. We got an 8:15 appt. We got there at 8pm. Weren't called back until 8:40pm. Doc didn't get to our room until just after 9pm. But the doc was very very good with her. Talked to her, played with her hair, and just generally kept Bug interested in her. Doc told me a few times that I was a lucky mom since she was such a good baby. Awwww - that's my Buggy!

Turns out Roseola is most contagious usually in the week before the rash breaks out (so Bug has now passed this on to every child at daycare). And the incubation time is approx 10-12 days or so (so in couple weeks we'll see which kids at daycare have it). She is still contagious as long as she has a rash. The rash should last 3-4 days. She will be fine to return to daycare on Monday.

Oh, and she also has ear infection #3. :::sigh:::

Here is Buggy in the waiting room.
(isn't she looking more like a little girl and less like a baby?)

and she loves looking at herself in the mirror:

trying to lick (or chew on) the mirror:

uh oh. Now she has a grasp on the paper.

Whining cuz daddy is keeping her from playing with the paper. And Daddy mocking her.

Yay! More fun with the paper!
demolishing it

and of course, she needs to try to chew on it.
