I've been working crazy hours - so there aren't any new pictures right now.
Saturday (day before Easter): D took Buggy to the doctor because she'd been spiking a fever at least once a day for 3 days (along with some other mild issues, such as crankiness, runny stool, etc..). Doc checked her over and declared it is probably teething, since there wasn't anything wrong upon initial examination. (Teething = 101+ temps? Ummm...)
Sunday: Easter. See pics in post below. We went over and spent the afternoon with Dana's Family. Sydney had fun playing with Dawn's children and crawling all around.
Monday: Took Sydney to daycare @ 6:30am like always. All day in the back of my mind I was hoping her fever wouldn't spike. 2pm I get the call from Miss Summer. Her fever was 101.9. Great. I explain that she's been doing this for several days and we took her to the doc over the weekend and the doc could find nothing wrong and chalked it up to teething. She seemed hesitant but told me okay. For now. But if it goes up more, she'd have to leave. (Usually, once they hit a temp of 101 at daycare, they have to be picked up and can't return for one full day). I called D and told him to get there as quickly as possible before her temp rises more. Luckily, he was already off work, and heading home.
Tuesday: Took the Bug in to daycare as usual. Morning lady (Miss Lori) seemed surprised to see us back. I told her Miss Summer said it was fine. I dressed the Bug in short sleeves to try to keep her temp down. 10:15am - the call I was dreading. Temp was back up. She had to go home. Crap. I absolutely cannot take off work this time of year. I call my trainee here at work to cover for me for a couple hours. I call my boss and tell him I will return as quickly as I can (hopefully around 1pm). I call D and tell him to get home as fast as he can. I call Kaiser and set up an appt for the afternoon, because frankly, 6 days of these spikey temp is Ridiculous!
I picked Buggy up and took her home. Dana got home just in time to pack her up and get her to her appt. I headed back to work. Got back at 1:45pm Not bad. I told D to not let them tell us it's "nothing" again at her appt. At least the doc agreed. Once again, she looks fine on initial exam, but this time they ran urine labs, bloodwork, and chest xrays. Turns out she had some real slight haziness on her xray. They are treating her like she has bronchiolitis again - even though her chest sounds clear. 10 more days of Amoxicillin. Good thing Bug loves the stuff. (and according to her paperwork from that visit... Buggy is officially 17lbs, 4oz.)
Wednesday: Bug can't go to daycare, and I can't miss work. I assumed D would find a way to take off work for his sick child. However, he said that wasn't possible. Grandma Sally generously stepped in when D asked her to watch the Bug
Thursday: Back to daycare! And good thing too - it was PICTURE DAY!!! I had seen the notice in the main bldg, but thought that it applied only to the older kids. But nope, it was for babies too! They even were going to do a class picture! How cute will that be! Good thing I dressed her cute. She was wearing the little pink tank outfit with the white skirt with black, grey, and pink polka dots on it, and the white with black polka dot shoes (outfit courtesy of Auntie Christine). I can't wait to see the pics. However was informed that we'll have to wait 2 weeks to see them. TWO WEEKS!? This is the digital age. Get those pics up online somewhere and give us the code to view them!!! Ugh!. -oh, and NO fever today!!!!
Friday: Sydney had a GREAT day at daycare. No Fever. Three hour-long naps throughout the day, and her sheet stated that she was ALL over the place all day, and laughing/smiling all day. Ahhhhh..... that's the Buggy we all know and love! However, come bedtime, she really really fought it and I somehow didn't get her down until close to 10:30. Probably doesn't help the situation with me coming home from work after 8 every night this week.
and today, she's hanging with her daddy while I toil away here at work (umm.. yeah. I'm working - time to get back to it!)
Have a great week.
