I just do not understand

Sydney LOVES Little Einsteins. If they aren't on the TV (such as it's time for Mickey Mouse or Oso) she's constantly asking for me to turn on "Einstein". She makes me sing their theme song over and over and over at bedtime (while bopping her head). She joins in singing some of the lyrics that she knows. She got a DVD pack of Einsteins for her birthday and hauled the box around for days - carting it in her wheelbarrow, buckling it into Annabelle's carseat.

So... I thought I would surprise her with Einsteins jammies. Found 2 sets on Amazon. A "boy" set with the bold bright colors and all the characters. And a "girl" set that was lavender with just the 2 girl characters on it. I decided on the "boy" set because the picture seemed more representative of the entire show which I know she loves. I don't think she really cares at this point that it's not all pink, purple, or pretty.

So I happily order these for $14:


Hid them from her when they arrived, because I didn't want her throwing a tantrum if I didn't let her wear them before they were washed. Once I finally did laundry and they were ready to go, I showed them to her. She screamed and cried for probaby 30 minutes and wanted nothing to do with them? Really??? ???? Everytime she'd look over at them she'd scream some more. "No einstein shirt!"

She has said I could have it. Daddy could have it. Annabelle could have it. But still a week later and she still wants nothing to do with these jammies. This momma is so so so confused.
