I strategically picked out a day for Sydney's first visit to Disneyland. Here were my conditions: Before birthday #3. After spring break. Before "summer" crowds (ie: school out). And it had to be a weekday.
I chose Thursday, May 10th. Couldn't have been a more perfect day. Crowds were minimal. Weather was perfect. Overall it was fantastic.
Disneyland opened at 9am. So, I made us breakfast reservations at the Plaza Inn at 8:10am for the "Minnie and Friends" character breakfast. This gets us into the park early (through gate 1), and gets us done eating by the time the park is officially open.

| Hey Sydney guess what?! This tram takes us right to the front of Disneyland! |

Upon walking up to the Plaza Inn for our reservation, we park the stroller and instantly see Eeyore out on the veranda/porch. Sydney was going into "no no no no!" panic mode. Nana and I held our breath wondering if she was maybe still too young. Eeyore went inside, and so did we. We got a table on a main aisle where the characters all mingle around. We were told not to worry, the characters will come right on up to the table. First up was Pooh... and Sydney was NOT too happy about this yet. She didn't like them too close to her, but she seemed to like to wave "Hi" at them as they went by. We had to tell the characters that, and they were very respectful of her distance.
She slowly loosened up and let them come closer and even touched a few. After those first few minutes, she really really enjoyed herself. I count this venture as a "success".

| A little shy of Pooh Bear |
| Warming up to Dale |
| Still keeping her distance from Minnie |
| High 5's and "knuckles" with Dale |
| Nana posed with Tigger |
| OMGoodness! Sydney loved the Fairy Godmother - but lamented later that she didn't say "Bibbity Bobbity". |
| Now we'll smile with Minnie! |
| Hugs! |
| She tried really hard to ignore Tigger. She's sipping milk, he's tickling her nose with a napkin |
| Kiss on the nose! |
| Tickling her ear |
| And she went back to ignoring/milk drinking LOL. Not sure what Tig's doing here... |
I need to mention that they view from our table was out some windows over looking those Rockets that are at the entrance to Tomorrowland. Sydney watched them fly over and over during breakfast and kept begging to go on them.
