After breakfast, we headed next door to the Baby Care Center (I've been here before when I was, in their words, "an expressing mother"). I guess this place helps out with all things "baby". We went there to change Sydney out of her Tinkerbell dress (I'm so glad I left the wings at home!) and into her Minnie Mouse shorts outfit.

love this signage above the toddler size potty in the Baby Care Center
And yes, I carted our Princess Potty seat around all day. Made bathroom trips SO much easier. I did see one mother crazier than me: she'd brought the entire portable baby potty and had her kid on it right in the middle of a bathroom. |

Minnie Mouse outfit? Check! "1st Visit" button? Check!
we are changed and ready to go! |
| smiles to start our day right outside the Baby Care Center (and in front of the Corn Dog red truck) |
| not sure why she felt the need to hold onto her button - but its starting to look like she about to bust out in the Pledge of Allegiance (and I'm almost positive I've spelled that wrong) |
| In line for our first ride of the day: the Tomorrowland Rockets! |
| loaded and ready! |
| thanks to a tip from a man with a stroller - we found Ariel alone in Snow White's grotto next to the castle |
| look at that hair! |
| "I'm on a boat" (first trip on Small World) |
And it was right about this point, when the sun had burned off a while before and it was approaching noon, that I realize I didn't bring Sunblock. Crap. I seriously should ask other parents if they have any. Because $16 for a little bottle? Really Disney? This is a necessity and they sure know it I guess.
| waterfall watching in Toon Town. She loves waterfalls! |
| Driving in Toon Town |
| Nana and I found this funny |
| Carousel! |
| such a big girl! |
after 2 tries (Mr. Toad and Alice) we quickly discovered that the indoor fantasyland rides were not her thing yet. Too dark and scary. She told me "outdoor rides, mommy." Carousel and Teacups were good!
| Sydney HAD to dip her fingers in this fountain at the Mexican restaurant next to Thunder Mountain |
| on the top deck of the Mark Twain |
| After riding the Mark Twain, we sat on the lower level of the Hungry Bear restaurant eating ice cream and waving as it went by again (that right there looks like a postcard!) |
| Mickey Ice Cream! |
| Mickey Ice Cream is messy! (thank God for baby wipes!) |
| I just love this pic - not really sure why |
Obligatory pose in front of the casle. A requirement.
(darn, her shrit is tucked in funny) |
| Picturesque |
| jumping in front of the castle - apparently ALSO a requirement. |
| Love this. Castle. Minnie. Sydney |
| Chip & Dale + Sydney |
| Donald Duck + Sydney |
| Walt/Mickey statue |
| Yep, I chopped off Walt's head |
| my sweetheart |
| The bubble-gun Nana bought was 100% a hit! |
| Chesire Kitty (on the side of the Alice ride - I don't remember this being there in the past, it's either new or I'm blind) |
Lots of pics inside Small World from our 3rd go-round in it:
| Nana thinks this one looks like Sydney (except she needs curlier hair) |
| 6pm and we are camped out on the curb for the 7pm parade |
| This sad sad Minnie balloon that we've had since 8am = a smudgy mess! |
| Sydney still likes to let her balloons go and watch as they fly away. |
| waiting on a parade |
| MICKEY! (this is what Syd screamed when she saw him on the float) |
| Super excited face while frantically waving at Mickey. Yes, I was bawling at this point |
| More excitement seeing the Princesses coming on their float (yep, still bawling) |
| Cinderella gave a special little wave to my Buggy |
| and this face means she sees Tinkerbell a'coming |
| We still love Tink |
After the Parade, it was somewhere around 7:30pm. Bedtime-ish. Sydney wanted to go back to Small World and also back on the rockets. Nope. Cue Meltdown. We were those people who pack up and leave after the parade (we used to be the people who looked forward to all the families leaving at this point - now were one of them). And I'm sure not unknown around those parts... we were leaving with a tantruming toddler. They REALLY need to put the stroller rental near the tram - not on the far opposite side. I mean, I could have just dumped the stroller whereever - my info thingy said they pick up strollers that are abandoned in the plaza area between the 2 parks... but I was being all considerate returning it to the rental hut. Next time, I'm abandoning it right by the tram - no more carrying 30 pounds of screaming toddler that distance again.
| Waaaaaaaa! I don't wanna go home! |
She was completely zonked out in the carseat within minutes of leaving - which is also within minutes of returning home. LOL.
