Supply down, Ellen prizes, & sitting up

Milk supply. Hmmmm.... not sure what is up. Didn't need to pump this morning when I woke like I normally do. Although there seemed to be plenty, it was just this side of needing that AM pump session. Then today at BRU we bought some sippy cups for the Bug to try and I decided to pump when we got home to have fresh milk to try in the cups. I pumped 7 mins on each side and got under 1/2 an ounce?! This is from both sides combined:

Moving on.

Today we tried on some of our Ellen show prizes that were too big a while back. First the hat that is so ugly, it's cute:

and the knit booties (that Buggy tried to pull off):

next, we tried sitting up. She can do it for about a count of 2, then she topples over. In these pics, Daddy got her up and balanced - and was super near at hand for when she fell to the side each time:

and finally, daddy assembled her bath chair. She's pretty much gotten too big for the kitchen sink - so we will be moving on to the tub, where she can splash her hands to her hearts content. I wanted to try this out tonight (she's due for a bathing), but she fought an afternoon nap and therefore fell asleep at 6:30pm. She's currently still out @ 8:30pm. I need to wake her to nurse (ha ha, like there's any milk there anymore?), and now is usually her bedtime. Bath may wait until tomorrow.

oh yeah, and so far she is a failure at the sippy cup (I thawed frozen milk since what I produced this afternoon was dismal). We'll keep trying. She was looking like she was on the verge of getting it.

  1. LOVE those booties!! Oh and that milk you produced, that's all I ever got when I pumped for 2 hours on both sides. Let's just say I was really sore!
