I returned to work on 12/14. I can't believe how quickly those 6 months off flew by!
Apparently while I was off they tweaked the Maternity leave policy here at work. It used to be you got 24 weeks total (somehow I got 25 - shhhhhhhh!). But 4 of those weeks had to be taken prior to the birth. New policy is you still can have the 4 weeks prior off, but now we'd get 24 weeks off from the date of the birth. So basically 28 weeks! (20 of those at full pay. 6 at California state 1/2 pay, and 2 would be unpaid or use vacation). Looks like I need to get pregnant again. ha ha ha ha!
Dana is taking off these last 3 weeks of December to stay home and watch the Buggy (except for today - which he had to go to work, so my mom is watching her and I'm going to get off early). Seems his week went smoother than I expected. Buggy naps now. For me she never (or very rarely napped). She started taking a nice long midday nap the last week or so that I was off. Now she's apparently napping 3x's a day! Dana's days with her are EASY! I personally like to think that she just misses me so much she'd rather sleep the day away until I get home. :)
Buggy will start daycare on January 4th.
And since I was at work all last week there are 2 outcomes from that. #1 way less pics of the Bug were taken. Only took some yesterday. And #2, I visited Gymboree at the mall across the street way too much. But you should see the fur lined coat I got for her for NEXT winter!
